You can use Glyphs via the Paragon Board system in order to fine tune your Build and enhance a specific type of Gameplay. Using them effectively is essential for end-game activities in Diablo 4 and will help you clear harder content!

How Do You Get Glyphs in Diablo 4
You can get Glyphs from higher level activities such as The Tree of Whispers and Nightmare Dungeons! Clearing Nightmare Dungeons especially is the most reliable source of Glyphs in the game, as well as the only way you can upgrade them. Which Glyph you will get from an activity is random but you will have a nice collection for your Class and Build in no time. Nightmare Dungeons unlock after you complete the game’s Campaign and have switched to the World Tier III difficulty.
Types of Glyphs in Diablo 4
Glyphs in the game are divided in two different categories based on the bonuses they offer and their radius in the Paragon Board. These two categories are:
- Magic Glyphs(Blue)
- Rare Glyphs(Gold)
Magic Glyphs offer one Bonus and have a Radius of 2. You can upgrade their radius to 3. Rare Glyphs on the other hand offer one guaranteed Bonus and a secondary Bonus that you can unlock by allocating Paragon Points to a specific Stat inside the glyph’s Radius. For example the Exploit Glyph offers a secondary bonus when you have unlocked 25 Dexterity inside its Radius. Rare Glyphs have a Radius of 3 that you can upgrade to 4!
Every Class in Diablo 4 has its own unique Glyphs that can help you enhance specific aspects of their gameplay options!
How to Use Glyphs in Diablo 4
You can only use Glyphs in the Paragon Boards. Your first step is to allocate enough Paragon Points and unlock the Glyph Socket in every Paragon Board. You can then place your desired Glyph there. Rare Glyphs are preferable because of their better starting Radius and the additional Bonus they offer. Unlocking enough Glyph Sockets and placing Glyphs should be your number one priority when allocating your Paragon Points. This will allow you to obtain several Powerful Effects via the Glyphs and become stronger! Aim to have five or Six Glyphs active for the best results.
How to Upgrade Glyphs in Diablo 4
You can upgrade your Glyphs in Diablo 4 by completing Nightmare Dungeons! This is the only way you can upgrade your Glyphs right now. Once you complete a Nightmare Dungeon a safety Bubble will appear, along with an Awakened Glyphstone inside. Use the Glyphstone to allocate XP earned to your desired Glyph. The XP you earn depends on the Tier of the Nightmare Dungeon. The higher the Tier, the more XP points you can allocate to your Glyphs. It is possible to allocate the XP Points to several Glyphs!
