Diablo 4 Mount Unlock
Unlocking the Mount in Diablo 4 makes traveling around Sanctuary a lot easier! There is no set level you have to reach to unlock the mount however. You will need to advance the Campaign of Diablo 4 instead, before you can use a mount to move around. Mounts in Diablo 4 offer additional customization options through Armor and trophies, allowing you to enhance the appearance of your characters more. They also have their own unique gameplay actions!

When do you Unlock the Mount in Diablo 4
When you reach Kyovashad(Fractured Peaks capital) with your first character, talk to Oskar the Stable master. You will then see that in order to unlock mounts and the Stable, you have to complete the “Mount: Donan’s Favor” quest. This a priority quest that you can get early in Act IV of the campaign. Which means that you will have to complete Acts I, II and III first. You receive all three Acts at the same time and you can complete them in any order.
The Acts will take you around the map and consist of several quests each. So it will take some time before you can get to Act IV. Set out to complete them and when you are done, Act IV will send you back to Kyovashad to meet Donan.
Talk to him to receive the “Mount: Donan’s Favor” priority quest. Visit again the stable master to unlock mounts! You can now use the Stable to customize your mount. When you unlock the mount with your first character every other character you own can use it. Even brand new level 1 alts!
Stable Mount Options in Diablo 4
The Stable offers a few options for your Mounts. There are two tabs, Stable and Vendor. Stable allows you to set your active mount and customize it with Mount Armors and Trophies. The Vendor Tab allows you to buy new Mounts and Mount Armors.
Armors and Trophies are basically cosmetic items for your Mount that you can also get as loot from enemies around the world.
Mount Actions in Diablo 4
When mounted and riding around the world you gain access to a few actions. These are:
- Sprint
- Combat Dismount
- Dismount
Sprinting allows you to go faster and escape from enemies while dismount allows you to get off your mount! Combat dismount is a special attack move, slightly different for every Class in the game. When you combat dismount you attack the enemies in front of you and is in general easier to get into combat than using the normal dismount. Riding your Mount allows you to interact with resource nodes and other items, which makes it easier to explore with it as well!

To get a Mount in Diablo 4, you need to advance the Campaign to Act IV and complete the Mount: Donan’s Favor priority quest.
