The Purveyor is a special Vendor in Diablo 4 that offers pieces of gear to players. The gear you get is random though, which adds a sense of gambling to the game. You can select the piece of gear you can buy but the quality can be anything. From Common to Legendary! In order to buy items from the Purveyor you will have to spend Murmuring Obols!
How to Get Murmuring Obols in Diablo 4
Murmuring Obols is a special currency you can earn from Events in Diablo 4! Events you encounter in the open World or inside Dungeons, will reward you with a small amount of Obols upon completion! There is a cap to the Obols you can carry. Earning Renown and discovering Altars of Lilith can increase the Obols cap. When you reach that cap every new Obol you earn is lost! So it is wise to visit the Purveyor often and try to earn a Legendary or Rare item.
Whispering Key and Silent Chests in Diablo 4
Another cool item you can buy from the Purveyor Vendor is the Whispering Key. This is a special Key that you can use to unlock Silent Chests found in the Diablo 4 open world. These Chests are locked and have a chance to drop gear of higher quality but require a key to open them. Buying a few of those is a nice way to spend your Obols if you do not wish to gamble with gear!
