Druid Spirit Boons

Spirit Boons is the special mechanic of the Druid Class in Diablo 4. Druids gain access to four Spirits that offer them unique buffs. These buffs can complement and define your Build in Diablo 4. Before you can gain access to the Spirits and their Boons though you will have to complete a Class specific Priority Quest! The Spirit Boons System is essential to create strong Druid Builds in Diablo 4!

How to Unlock Druid Spirit Boons in Diablo 4

In order to unlock Spirit Boons in Diablo 4 you have to complete first the Druid specific Priority Quest “Spirits of the Lost Grove“. You will receive the quest automatically when you reach level 15.

The quest will ask you to talk to Druid Ardreth in Tur Dulra. Tur Dulra however is a stronghold in the Scosglen zone, which means that you cannot simply walk in there, talk to the NPC and complete it. You need to clear the stronghold first! Tur Dulra is slightly far away from Kyovashad as well, the capital town of the starter zone Fractured Peaks.

Your first goal as a Druid should be to head to the Stronghold and clear it, so you can talk to the NPC and start the priority quest. The quest itself is rather easy. Follow Druid Ardreth’s instructions and visit the designated areas. Once you have completed the tasks given to you, return back to Tur Dulra. Talk to the Druid and unlock the four Spirits, Wolf, Deer, Snake and Eagle.

How do Druid Spirit Boons Work in Diablo 4

There are four Spirits you can interact with and receive their Boons! The Spirits are Deer, Eagle, Snake and Wolf! Each Spirit offers you four different Boons. In order to unlock their Boons you have to offer them Druidic Spirit Offerings though. You can collect those by defeating enemies after level 15.

Every 25 offerings unlock a Boon at a spirit. You can offer as many as you like and unlock the Boons. The only exception is the Snake Spirit that requires an offer of 100 Spirit Offerings at once. To unlock all four Boons from every Spirit, you will need 100 Spirit Offerings for each one, so 400 Spirit Offerings in total to unlock everything.

Once you have unlocked a Boon, you can activate it in your Spirit Boons Tab, between your Character sheet and Abilities!

What is Spirit Bonding in Diablo 4

You can have one Boon from every Spirit active at the same time. Once you unlock all Boons from every Spirit you can activate a fifth one from a Spirit of your Choice. Having two Boons active from the same Spirit is called Spirit Bonding in DIablo 4!

What are the Druid Spirit Boons in Diablo 4

Every Spirit offers four Boons. These are unique for each Spirit and offer various advantages for your Character.

The Deer Spirit Boons are:

  • Prickleskin at 25 offerings. Gain Thorns.
  • Gift of the Stag at 50 offerings. Gain Max Spirit.
  • Wariness at 75 offerings. Reduced Damage from Elites.
  • Advantageous Beast at 100 offerings. Reduce the duration of Control Impairing Effects.

The Eagle Spirit Boons are:

  • Scythe Talons at 25 offerings. Gain Increased Critical Strike Chance.
  • Iron Feather at 50 offerings. Gain Max Life.
  • Swooping Attacks at 75 offerings. Gain Attack Speed.
  • Avian Wrath at 100 offerings. Gain Critical Strike Damage.

The Snake Spirit Boons are:

  • Obsidian Slam at 25 offerings. Every 20th kill will cause your next Earth skill to Overpower.
  • Overload at 50 offerings. Lucky Hit: Dealing Lightning Damage has a chance to cause the target to emit a static discharge, dealing Lightning Damage to surrounding enemies.
  • Masochistic at 75 offerings. Critical Strikes with Shapeshifting Skills heal you.
  • Calm before the Storm at 100 offerings. Lucky Hit: Nature Magic Skills have a chance to reduce the cooldown of your Ultimate Skill.

The Wolf Spirit Boons are:

  • Packleader at 25 offerings. Lucky Hit: Critical Strikes have a chance to reset the Cooldowns of your Companion Skills.
  • Energize at 50 offerings. Lucky Hit: Dealing damage has a chance to restore Spirit.
  • Bolster at 75 offerings. Fortify when you use a Defensive skill.
  • Calamity at 100 offerings. Extend the duration of Ultimate Skills.
