How Does Sorcerer Enchantment Works in Diablo 4

Enchantment allows you to add a passive effect to two of your Sorcerer Skills! This effect can define and complement your build, enhancing your favorite play style. To unlock the system, you need to reach first level 15 and complete the priority quest “Legacy of the Magi“. Once you complete the quest you can place the first skill in an enchantment slot at level 15 and another one when you reach level 30.

Legacy of the Magi Sorcerer Quest in Diablo 4

The “Legacy of the Magi” Sorcerer Quest is necessary to unlock the Enchantment Slots. You will receive the quest automatically the moment you reach level 15. To begin the quest you will have to talk to Mordarin. Mordarin is located on the South Western part of the Fractured Peaks zone. He will ask you to retrieve “The Forgotten Codex” from inside the Lost Archives Dungeon nearby.

You only need to find the Codex inside, you do not need to complete the Dungeon. Although if you have not completed it already, I recommend to complete it since you can unlock a helpful Defensive Aspect, the “Aspect of the Protector“. You can read more about Aspects in my Codex of Power Aspects Guide.

The Forgotten Codex

The Codex is randomly placed inside the Dungeon in a Dust-Covered Chest! Get the Codex, return to Mordarin and let him complete the ritual. Defeat the enemies that will spawn and the Enchantment Slots will unlock for your Sorcerer! You can now place skills in the Enchantment Slots to grant them passive abilities and strengthen your Sorcerer Build!
