Planets with the Best Resources in Starfield

There are plenty of resources you can collect and use in Starfield. A few of those resources are important to have early, since you will need them in almost every research and crafting project. Some of the most important you should collect are:

Finding a Planet with some good resources is only the first step of building an Outpost. The Planet Conditions must be good as well. A couple important Planet Conditions to consider are:

  • No Extreme Environment
  • Not far from Alpha Centauri

If a planet has an Extreme Environment, that means that you cannot build an Outpost there. Not until you invest skill points to the Planetary Habitation Science Skill at least. Planetary Habitation is a Tier 4 Science Skill, which means that it will take you some time to unlock it.

Finding a Planet closer to Alpha Centauri(New Atlantis) and the other main hubs of the game, Volii(Neon) and Cheyenne(Akila) Systems allows you to move around faster, completing missions and checking your Outpost more often. This matters more early in the game when you have not unlocked better ships yet and travel farther away may be troublesome.
