ESO A Cage That Shimmers Rumor
A Cage that Shimmers is a Rumor in ESO that belongs to the “Conspiracy” category and is one of the three available rumors inside the Nowhere Vault. Rumors are a special type of quests in The Elder Scrolls Online that offer no quest markers or HUD assistance.
Rumor Hint
Every Rumor offers a hint to point you in the right direction. The A Cage that Shimmers says:
“The Nowhere Vault conceals many secrets. Venture beyond the well-worn paths of the Cursed Castle Wing and see what you uncover.“
How to Start A Cage that Shimmers Rumor
To start this Rumor, enter the Cursed Castle Wing in the Nowhere Vault and complete the following steps:
- Collect Artist’s Touch
- Acquire Carafe of Salt Water
- Get Connoisseur’s Vision
- Collect Timeward Seal
- Break the Seal
1. Collect Artist’s Touch
When you enter the Gallery of Curios, head to the eastern room and interact with “The Destroyed Painting“. Read the riddle and collect the Artist’s Lens near it. Go to the southern room of the area and use the Lens under the stairs. This will grant you Artist’s Touch.
2. Acquire Carafe of Salt Water
With Artist’s Touch acquired, enter the Sinking Courtyard room. Interact with the three Rain Totems in the area to activate the Brackish Fountain. Interact with the fountain to get a Carafe of Salt Water!
3. Get Connoisseur’s Vision
In the Haunted Undercroft room you can now interact with the cauldron. Alter the Stew to force the Stewmaster boss to appear. Defeat her to acquire Connoisseur’s Vision!
4. Collect Timeward Seal
When you have the Connoisseur’s Vision, enter the Lunar Path Wing of the Nowhere Vault. Complete its challenges until you reach The Lakehouse room. Once you enter the room, the Connoisseur’s Vision will activate. Find the Creative Transcendence and interact with it to obtain a Timeward Seal.
5. Break the Seal
Enter the Sage’s Trove in the Nowhere Vault and interact with one of the three Seals to break it! This concludes the A Cage that Shimmers Rumor and rewards you with five Wondrous Nowhere Keys. Breaking all three Seals will also unlock the Ancient Direnni Quasigriff mount in your Collections.
