How to Unlock Azandar Al-Cybiades Companion in ESO
Azandar is one of the two available Companions you can unlock with the Necrom DLC, along with Sharp-as-Night. You can find Azandar outside Cipher’s Midden town in the Apocrypha zone! When you get access to the zone(own Necrom DLC), travel to Cipher’s Midden to find him near one of the town’s entrances. To unlock him as a Companion you need to complete his introductory Quest “The Fateweaver Key“.

Azandar can assist you as a Mage in combat, thanks to his offensive Arcanist skills. His buffs and debuffs make it easier to deal with enemies. To get the best ability cooldown and damage equip him with a full set of Medium Armor with the Quickened Trait! A Fire Staff is the best weapon for this role!

ESO Azandar Stamina DPS Build – Two Handed
Azandar is not the best Companion for the role of Stamina DPS with any of the available Weapons! His skills fit better with Mage and Support setups. He can however fulfill this role if you insist. A full set of Medium Armor with the Quickened Trait will offer the best combination of damage and abilities cooldown! You can use any Two Handed Weapon.

Thanks to his ranged spammable ability, The Triune Word, Azandar is slightly better in the role of ranged Stamina DPS. What is Azandar Good for in ESO?
Azandar Al-Cybiades is a versatile Companion that can support you in every role! He does not shine in any but can be a decent option as a ranged Damage dealer, Tank or healer! His Arcanist Class skills offer a variety of buffs and debuffs that can assist you against any enemy. He is better as a Support Companion because of the various effects he can offer, which means that if you like his curiosity and funny character, you can bring him along as a Tank or Healer. A few good support effects he can offer you are:

What is the Best Build for Azandar in ESO?
The Best Build for Azandar in ESO is that of a Support Role! Azandar can play well as a Healer or Tank Companion, thanks to the several effects he can offer with Arcanist Class skills. Based on the effects you are after, you can choose to set him up in a way that his abilities will complement yours. His ranged spammable also makes him a decent ranged DPS Companion. However he is not better than most other Companions in any role.
