ESO Secret Chili Ingredients Rumor
Secret Chili Ingredients is a Rumor in ESO that belongs to the “Whispers” category. Rumors are a special type of quests in The Elder Scrolls Online that offer no quest markers or HUD assistance.
Rumor Hint
Every Rumor offers a hint to point you in the right direction. The Secret Chili Ingredients hint says:
“An award-winning chili recipe from Elden Root includes a special ingredient“
How to Start Secret Chili Ingredients
The hint of this rumor makes it easy to find the starting location! Visit Elden Root in Grahtwood and search East of the wayshrine. There you will find the “My Award-Winning Chili Recipe!” note near a Chili Pot.
Secret Chili Ingredients Investigation
The note reveals that the secret ingredient is the meat of an unknown creature! To lure this creature out you will have to place guts (meat) at the cairn near Yanurah’s Respite in Bangkorai or north of Belkarth.
Head to the two Cairns locations, place meat at them and wait for a creature to appear!
A Mantikora will appear at the Bangkorai Cairn while a Flesh Colossus will appear at Craglorn. Defeat both creatures to get their meat.
Return to the starting location in Elden Root and use the Chili Pot to complete the investigation and get a Secret Chili Ingredients Rumor Box as reward! Both types of meat will earn you a reward but the Flesh Colossus meat will reward you with an epic Rumor Box while the Mantikora meat will only grant you a rare Box.
