Soulframe Tempers
Tempers are special items that grant powerful new effects to weapons in Soulframe! You can enrich your favorite playstyle by picking appropriate Tempers and applying them to your favorite weapons. With Preludes 16, players can choose which Tempers to add to their weapons!
How Tempers Work in Soulframe
Every weapon you drop as loot or craft, comes with a number of Tempers. When you dismantle these weapons, Tuvalkane, the blacksmith, gains progress toward learning the Tempers they contain. Once you earn enough progress for a specific Temper, Tuvalkane learns it and can strike it onto your weapons.
Each Temper requires 30 points to learn and each dismantle offers one point. Amped Tempers grant double the progress. This means you need to dismantle between 15 and 30 weapons containing the same Temper to learn it and use it on your weapons.

How to Strike Tempers
To strike Tempers, visit Tuvalkane and select the Strike tab. Choose the weapon and Temper slot you want to modify, then select the desired Temper from the ingredient bar. Replacing a different Temper with one already present will amplify the present temper. You can also use Strikes to fill empty Temper slots.
You can strike a Temper onto any Craftwork as long as its Origin is compatible. At Tuvalkane’s station, you can also see all discovered and undiscovered Tempers, along with the number of points needed to learn each one.
Weapons have a limit of how many Tempers they can take based on their Craftwork:
- Stock: 0-1 Tempers
- Military: 1-3 Tempers
- Officer: 2-4 Tempers
- Noble: 3-5 Tempers
- Sovereign: 4-6 Tempers
- Legendary: 5-8 Tempers
To strike a Temper onto a weapon, that weapon must be level 30, Tuvalkane must be Rank 3 and you will also need one learned and applicable Temper. The cost to strike a Temper is one Glow, one Amber and one Faer Lampyrite. Strikes cannot fail!
Tempers can only be struck onto weapons appropriate for them. For example, a Temper that affects bows cannot be struck onto a Long Blade. Origin Tempers can only be struck onto another origin weapon. Restriking is a permanent process and if you wish to return a Temper you have removed you will have to expend the resources required to strike it again.

Conclusion
The Tempers system is a powerful feature in Soulframe that adds strong effects and new customization options to your favorite weapons. By choosing the right Tempers, you can create powerful Builds tailored to your playstyle!
