ESO Black Gem Foundry Dungeon

Black Gem Foundry is a 4-man Dungeon, located in the zone of Solstice in ESO! The Dungeon is available with the “Feast of Shadows” content pack, along with Naj-Caldeesh. By completing the Dungeon, you can get four new Armor Sets and unlock a variety of achievements. This guide will show you how to defeat all Bosses inside the Dungeon.

All Black Gem Foundry Dungeon Bosses in ESO

There are six Bosses inside this Dungeon. Three main, that are required to finish the Dungeon and three secret Bosses that are optional to kill. You can find the main Bosses by simply following the main path of the Dungeon. Every map you visit also has one secret boss that you can defeat. The Bosses are

• Prospector Lyrakta(Secret Boss)
• Quartermaster Saldezaar
• Gemcarver Hynax(Secret Boss)
• Black Gem Monstrocity
• Misura(Secret Boss)
• High Soulbinder Vykand

Inside the Dungeon you can gather “Potent Black Gem“. When you defeat one of the secret Bosses, you can capture their “Superior Daedric Essence” and use it to fill the Gems. This will give you a “Filled Potent Black Gem“. You can then use the “Filled Potent Black Gem” to the Jewelry Crafting Station in the room, to create and upgrade a wrist cuff. The fully upgraded wrist cuff offers the following three buffs:

• Lustrous Cabochon: Increases Magicka and Stamina Regeneration.
• Lustrous Pendeloque: Increases resurrection speed and grants a damage shield and immunity to control effect when reviving allies. Plus previous buff.
• Lustrous Trilliant: Light and Heavy Attacks place a DoT effect on enemies, that grants you increased Weapon and Spell damage, as well as a Heal over Time effect. Plus previous buffs.

How to Defeat Prospector Lyrakta in Black Gem Foundry

Prospector Lyrakta is the first secret Boss you can find in the Dungeon. The entrance to her room is hidden in the first map, as shown above. These are her main attacks:

• Charged attack that deals damage and knocks you back.
• Uses her web to pull you to her, then she does a wide AOE attack that deals massive damage.
• Charges an AOE, that deals shock wide damage. Get out of the AOE radius to avoid it.
• Fires Shock Tornadoes in front of her. The tank should turn her away from the group.
• Summons allies to help her. Allies multiply over time.

How to Defeat Quartermaster Shaldezaar in Black Gem Foundry

Quartermaster Shaldezaar is the first main Boss of the Dungeon. A relatively easy Boss to fight with a few deadly moves. These are his main attacks:

• Summons Crystals in the area that damage you.
• He charges an AOE beneath you, that attaches crystals to your back.
• Charges a Heavy Attack that deals massive damage and knocks you back.
• Fires a wide cone shaped attack in front of him that deals AOE damage. You can use this attack to break crystals. If you get hit by this attack, you lose the crystals from your back and gain a shock AOE around you. Avoid touching other players.
• Marks a player and charges them. You can use this attack to destroy crystals as well.
• At 78% of his Health, the center of the room will start pulsing, dealing AOE damage. Go to the outer ring of the area to avoid this.
• Summons Imps that assist him in fight.
• At 60% of his Health, the center of the room will force you towards the edge of the area. Stay closer to the center.
• At 40% of his Health, the outer ring of the area will start pulsing and dealing damage. Stay in the internal free area.
• At 20% of his Health, the area will force you towards the center of the room.

How to Defeat Gemcarver Hynax in Black Gem Foundry

Gemcarver Hynax is the second secret Boss you can find in the Dungeon. He is easier to find than Prospector Lyrakta and these are his main moves:

• Summons Atronachs that debuff and attack you. Kill them fast or they can overwhelm you.
• Fires a slow fire projectile that deals AOE damage when it hits you.
• Teleports around the area and channels a massive fire attack. Interrupt him to avoid damage.
• Charges an attack and slams his staff on the ground, knocking you down. Block this attack or dodge it.

How to Defeat Black Gem Monstrocity in Black Gem Foundry

Black Gem Monstrocity is the second main Boss of the Dungeon. These are his main moves:

• Heavy Attack that summons Crystals in the area. Block the attack and avoid touching the crystals.
• Fires a beam at whoever has aggro. Block it.
• Marks a player and fires smaller crystals at them. They explode if you touch them.
• Teleports out of the area and summons a Pyromancer to fight you. The Pyromancer fires ground AOEs and has allies to help him.
• Summons Black Gem Shards to fight you. Stand behind them when he fires his beam to destroy them easily.
• At around 30% Health, the center of the room will fill with lava for some time. From now on the center and the outer area of the room will fill with lava one at a time. Move fast to the clear area to continue fighting.

How to Defeat Misura in Black Gem Foundry

Misura is the final secret Boss you can find in the Dungeon. An agile enemy with fast attacks:

• She charges an attack that teleports her behind you and deals AOE damage.
• Fires ground AOEs in front of her. The Tank should face her away from the group.
• Summons Allies to assist her. Kill those fast.
• Slams her hand on the ground and a giant arm grabs you. Break free to continue fighting.

How to Defeat High Soulbinder Vykand Final Boss in Black Gem Foundry

High Soulbinder Vykand is the final and most challenging Boss of the Dungeon. She is using color coded attacks to deal damage and defeat you. These are her main moves:

• Charges an attack and slams her staff on the ground to deal AOE damage. Block the attack and get out of the AOE Radius.
• Summons colored souls to her. Destroy them before they reach her. Collect the souls.
• Apparitions also appear in the area. Touch all of them to give them a color.
• She will summon two colors to her. Stand near the apparition with the third color to survive her attack. Every player should stand near a different apparition with the right color. Multiple players near the same apparition will result in the excess players dying.

Armor Sets in Black Gem Foundry Dungeon ESO

There are four Armor Sets you can farm inside this Dungeon. One of each weight and a Monster Set. The Black Gem Foundry Sets are:

• Lustrous Soulwell, Light Armor Set
• Vykand’s Soulfury, Medium Armor Set
• Black Foundry Steel, Heavy Armor Set
• Black Gem Monstrocity, Monster Set Head(Final Boss, Veteran difficulty only)

Black Gem Foundry is a fun and relatively easy Dungeon that you can clear with the right ESO Build!
