ESO Snow Treaders Leads

Snow Treaders is one of the Mythic Items that are available in ESO with the system of Antiquities. Mythic Items are special one-piece sets that offer unique effects to their wearer. With Snow Treaders while you are in combat, you are immune to Snares and Immobilizations that can be cleansed, but you cannot Sprint.

In order to discover Mythic Items you must have unlocked the Scrying and Excavation skill-lines. To unlock them you must own the Greymoor Chapter and complete the introductory quest for the Antiquities system. This will allow you to Scry for Leads that will lead you to excavation sites where you can find items or fragments of them. Mythic items are usually separated in fragments and you have to find all of them in order to get the complete item. The higher the quality of an item you can find the higher the difficulty of scrying and excavating for it. Leads for Mythic Items have a Master Difficulty.

Most of the time a Lead will guide you to a dig site in the area you have found it but in some cases Leads will send you somewhere else. A good example of this is Leads found in the Imperial City. You can get Leads even if you do not own the Greymoor Chapter and have not unlocked the two skill-lines but you cannot use them without the Antiquities features, Scrying and Excavation. Leads disappear after thirty days and you will have to farm them again in order to find the item. This Snow Treaders Leads Guide will help you to find all the Leads necessary to create the item.

Snow Treaders Leads Leads Locations

In order to complete this Mythic Item you have to discover first the Leads to its five fragments. The Leads are:

  • Auri-El Metal Carvings
  • Glacial Metal Rivets
  • Magicka-Imbued Metal Plates
  • Petrified Snow-Cedar
  • Snowy Sabre Cat Fur Strip

To scry for these Leads you need to be Level 7 in Scrying and have the Antiquarian Insight IV Passive unlocked. This is where you can find the Snow Treaders Leads Locations:

You can find more info for every Lead below.

1. Auri-El Metal Carvings

A Random Drop from every Overland enemy in the starter zone of Bleakrock Isle.

2. Glacial Metal Rivets

This Lead has a chance to drop from every Boss in the Labyrinthian Public Dungeon. The Dungeon is located in the Western Skyrim zone and the Greymoor Chapter is required to access it.

3. Magicka-Imbued Metal Plates

This Lead can drop from every Delve Boss in the PVP zone of Cyrodiil. However the Raelynne Ashham Boss of the Underpall Cave Delve has the best chances to drop it. The Dig Site for the Lead is located in the zone of Coldharbour.

If you cannot or do not want to travel to the Underpall Cave Delve, a more safe way to farm this lead is to pick a Delve with three Bosses, close to your Alliance Base. Kill the bosses as they spawn and hope for the lead to drop fast.

4. Petrified Snow-Cedar Lead

A random drop from every Overworld Boss in the zone of The Rift.

5. Snowy Sabre Cat Fur Strip

This Lead drops from the Drodda of Icereach Final Boss of the Direfrost Keep Dungeon. The Dungeon is located in the Eastmarch zone.

How to Get Snow Treaders in ESO

Once you find all leads, head to the appropriate zone and excavate their fragments. When you excavate all five of them the Snow Treaders Mythic Set will appear in your inventory.

Is Snow Treaders Mythic Set Worth it?

This Mythic Item makes you immune to Snares and Immobilizations while you are in combat, at the cost of being unable to sprint! This special effect makes the Set useful for Niche PVP Builds in ESO but its drawback is too severe to use it reliably.
