Welcome to my Throne and Liberty Fishing Guide! Fishing is a fun and relaxing activity in Throne and Liberty that allows you to catch fish in the game. You can later use the fish as an ingredient in order to create delicious dishes with the Crafting activity of Cooking!
How Fishing Works in Throne and Liberty
Fishing is a rather easy activity you can complete in Throne and Liberty! To begin Fishing all you need is a Fishing Rod and Bait. You can buy your first Fishing Rod from the Contract Coin Merchant for 300 Contract Coins! The Merchant also offers a Fishing Bait Chest that contains fifty(50)pieces of Bait. You can only buy one Bait Chest every day. You can get more Bait however from gathering and hunting.
It is possible to get a better Fishing Rod later by crafting it through Sundries Crafting or as a random drop from a variety of activities like Mystic Portals, Amitoi Expeditions and more. To craft a better Fishing Rod you need Nature’s Jade which you can get by fishing. When you have your Fishing Rod and enough Bait, equip them in your Character page(P) and head out to the nearest body of water.
When you are ready, cast your float and wait for fish to bite! This will not take long. Once a fish bites, two new gauges will appear, an Orange and a Green one. The Orange gauge represents the fish Health, while the Green shows your Fishing Stamina. Your goal is to deplete the Fish Health so you can catch it. To achieve this, drag the Rod in the opposite direction of the fish’s movement. Some fish are easy to catch, especially when you just start fishing, while other resist more.
As you catch fish, you gain Fishing EXP points and of course Levels! You can check your fishing level in your character page, by clicking the tab next to your Stats! The higher your fishing level is, the higher is the chance for rarer fish to appear. Sometimes while you are fishing you might catch containers that can offer a variety of valuable items but also Sollant! Fishing is a relaxing Life Style activity you can perform in Throne and Liberty that offers ingredients for Cooking but also other rewards.
What is the Fishing Codex in Throne and Liberty?
The Fishing Codex offers valuable info on the fish you have caught but also their habitat! This is basically a collection tab for fishing in the game, that shows you general info on the various fish you have caught and where you can find them.
As you catch Fish you collect points and can also unlock various Achievement rewards! These include Amitoi, materials, Bait and a Title!
