ESO Witches Festival Event Guide

The Witches Festival Event returns to ESO for one more time in 2025! The Event begins on October 23rd at 10AM EST and runs until November 5th at 10AM EST. While the Event is live, players can enjoy an 100% EXP Bonus and collect amazing rewards. The Witches Festival Event brings the Halloween atmosphere to ESO, along with several spooky and cool rewards for everyone!

How to Participate – Quest & EXP Boost

To participate, accept “The Witchmother’s Bargain” Quest from the in-game Crown Store for free. A quite simple to complete intro quest that will ask you to find a few items.

• A Pumpkin
• some Guts
• an Essense of Death.

You can acquire an Essence of Death by defeating any Delve Boss around Tamriel! Once you have collected the items, visit Witchmother Olyve at her House(in every starter zone Auridon, Glenumbra or Stonefalls) to complete the quest.

Completing the Quest will reward you with the Witchmother’s Whistle tool, which you can use to summon the Witchmother’s Cauldron. Drinking from the Cauldron will turn you into an Undead. While the Event is live ALL PLAYERS receive a passive 100% EXP Bonus! There is no need to do anything to get the Double EXP.

Witches Festival Event Rewards in ESO

When you defeat a Boss Monster of any type (Delve, World, Trial etc) you get a Plunder Skull along with its normal loot. Those Plunder Skulls can contain a plethora of items, like Hollowjack and Dremora Style Items, Fragments for various items, Witches Festival themed recipes and furnishings, furnishing recipes, reagents and more!

The first time you defeat each different type of Boss every day, you will receive a special Dremora Plunder Skull. These contain the same items as the normal Plunder Skull but also a few more valuable rewards:

• Witches Festival Writs
• Glenmoril Treasure Maps
• Glenmoril armor outfit style page
• Crowborne Hunter outfit style page
• NEW Hagmatron’s face marking runebox
• NEW Hagmatron’s body marking runebox
• NEW trade-able style page for the Wickerchain Soul outfit style

Dremora Motif Pages

The Dremora Motif Pages drop from different types of Bosses around Tamriel. So in order to complete the style, you will have to defeat every type of available Bosses in The Elder Scrolls Online. More specifically, this is which Dremora Motif Page drops from each Boss type:

• Final Arena Bosses drop Bows & Legs
• World Event Bosses(Dark Anchors etc) drop Daggers & Gloves
• Delve Bosses drop Staves & Belts
• Final Dungeon Bosses drop Helmets & Maces
• Public Dungeon, Imperial City Bosses and Quest Bosses drop Shields & Boots
• Final Trial Bosses drop Swords & Chests
• Overworld Bosses drop Shoulders & Axes

Glenmoril Treasure Maps

These are special Treasure Maps that will reveal “secret” locations around Tamriel, where you can find the Glenmoril Weapon Style Pages. Visit the location and interact with the item to add it to your inventory. You can then use it to add it to your collection or sell it to other players if you already know the style.

Witches Festival Writs

Easy and fast to complete special Holiday Writs that can unlock spooky and cool rewards for every player. Completing 13 of those will reward you the Witch’s Infernal Hat collectible! Completing 28 of them will unlock the “Witch” title!

Plucking the Crow Daily Quest

You can receive the quest “Plucking the Crow” from Witchmother Taerma, inside Olyve’s Brewery or around every Impresario Tent. The goal of this quest is to gather fifty(50) Cursed Feathers in order to open a portal and fight a unique Boss, the Crowborne Horror. You can get the feathers from Plunder Skulls or by defeating Crow-like enemies. The fight against this enemy is quite challenging and fun! By defeating the Crowborne Horror you can earn the Crowborne Horror Dremora Plunder Skull which has a small chance to reward you with unique items like:

• The FULL style book for the Dremora motif
• ALL Glenmoril treasure maps
• Runebox: Hagmatron’s face marking
• Runebox: Hagmatron’s body marking
• All of the Wickerchain Soul outfit style pages

Lord Hollowjack Boss in Witches Festival

Lord Hollowjack is a tougher unique Boss you can fight during the Witches Festival Event! His difficulty is higher than the Crowborne Horror which means that you will have to bring your friends along for this fight. Accept the Daily Quest from Priest Maxien inside Olyve’s Brewery to be able to find and fight Lord Hollowjack. He offers a special Dremora Plunder Skull, as well as an achievement and trophy furnishing.

Witches Festival Event Tickets & Impresario

During the event, the first time you defeat a Boss every day(First Boss only) you will also receive two Event Tickets. You can use those to buy items from the Impresario. Here is a list of everything you can buy from this special NPC while the Event is live:

• The first two fragments for the Wildgrown Chapel of Julianos House

The Roseblood Bat Pet is the new Morphable reward of 2026, that will replace the Stonewisp of Truth and Law Pet! From the Impresario’s Assistant, Philius Dormier, you can also buy:

• All fragments for the Unstable Morpholith Pet
• All fragments for the Dagonic Quasigriff Mount
• All fragments for the Soulfire Dragon Illusion Pet
• All fragments for the Daggerfall Paladin outfit
• All fragments for the Passion Dancer’s Blossom Pet
• All fragments for the Passion Dancer Garment Costume
