ESO Solo Dungeons
Solo Dungeons offer a unique new experience in ESO! These solo versions of existing dungeons allow players to explore them at their own pace and complete their quests without having to rush. Solo Dungeons offer a more accessible way to experience group dungeons as well as additional levels of difficulty in the form of Meted Misfortunes!
How Solo Dungeons Work
You can access Solo Dungeons by claiming their Quest for free from the crown store and teleporting to them from the World Map. Alternatively, you can just travel to their physical location and use their entrance. When you enter a Solo Dungeon you will encounter a Meted Misfortunes and a Reset Hourglass. Solo Dungeons are identical to their 4-man versions. They have the same layout, bosses, mechanics and secrets. Their difficulty depends on the misfortunes you choose.

What are the Meted Misfortunes in ESO
Meted Misfortunes is an optional system in Solo Dungeons that offers buffs to enemies or debuffs to your character. You can pick up to three at the same time which increases the difficulty of the dungeon.
| Misfortunes | Difficulty |
|---|---|
| 0 | Comparable to Overland |
| 1 | Comparable to a Normal Solo Arena |
| 2 | Comparable to a Veteran Solo Arena |
| 3 | Harder than comparable solo content |
The more Misfortunes you pick, the harder the enemies but also the better the rewards you can claim. What makes this system unique is the fact that every Solo Dungeon offers different types of Misfortunes.

With two or three Misfortunes active, you get guaranteed Monster Mask and Bust drops, as well as better chances to receive the available rewards. Not all misfortunes are equal! Some are stronger than others. Alleviating Assault for example heals enemies when you deal direct damage to them, creating a much harder experience.
Reset Hourglass
If you are not happy with your chosen Misfortunes and the overall difficulty of the Dungeon, you can use the Reset Hourglass at the entrance. This resets the Solo Dungeon and allows you to choose different Misfortunes or continue without any active.

Solo Dungeons Rewards
Completing a Solo Dungeon can reward you with a variety of items, including:
- Monster Sets
- Busts
- Trophies
- Antiquity leads
- Gold
- Consumables
- Item set pieces
- Crafting materials
- Undaunted Crests

Crest Merchant
Undaunted Crests are a new form of currency that you can only get from Solo Dungeons. You can spend them at Veya Thenim, the Crest Merchant, who you can find at every Undaunted Enclave! Veya offers the following items:
- Crafting materials
- Curated item set pieces
- Bound style pages
- Undaunted key containers
- Undaunted apothecary parcels
ESO Solo Dungeons List
These are the available Solo Dungeons in The Elder Scrolls Online:
- March of Sacrifices
- Moon Hunter Keep
Solo Dungeons introduce a more casual experience to players that want to explore at their own pace but also offer additional difficulty levels via the Meted Misfortunes system. If you wish to challenge yourself and your builds in hard solo gameplay then picking 2 or 3 misfortunes will satisfy you.
