How to Unlock Tanlorin Companion in ESO
Tanlorin is one of the two Update 44 Companions, that you can purchase from the Crown Store or get for free if you are an ESO Plus Subscriber. To unlock Tanlorin as a Companion you will have to complete their “The Garland Ring” introductory Quest first. To begin the Quest, find Tanlorin in the Auridon zone, right outside Vulkhel Guard.
ESO Tanlorin Companion Builds
Below you can find Tanlorin Builds for every role in ESO! Tanlorin is a hybrid Dragonknight and Soul Magic Companion that offers a mice mix of offensive and Support skills. Their Soul Magic offensive abilities make Tanlorin an excellent Stamina DPS or Magicka DPS Companion. However thanks to their Dragonknight Support abilities, they can also play well as Support. To maximize their potential you can wear the amazing Telvanni Efficiency Crafted Set when you adventure with Tanlorin. This Set reduces the cooldown of Companion abilities by 50% and allows you to experiment with more Companion Gear Traits!
ESO Tanlorin Stamina DPS Build – Dual Wield
Tanlorin shine as a melee Stamina DPS Companion. They can use any weapon type and deal good damage to enemies. Wearing a full set of Medium Armor with the Quickened Trait is the best combination for Tanlorin. Dual Daggers or any type of One Hand Weapons complement the Build well.

Tanlorin are an excellent melee fighter with a Two Handed weapon as well. A full set of Medium Armor with the Quickened Trait is again the best combination for them. You can use any type of Two Handed Weapon.

Thanks to the range of their Class abilities, Tanlorin make an excellent Mage as well. They can fire from distance and stay safe while assisting with DPS. Equip them with a full Set of Medium Armor for better damage and Quickened Traits. Use a Fire Staff.

ESO Tanlorin Healer Build
Tanlorin have access to a few Healing abilities but they are not the best for the role. They do decent healing but it will not be enough against tougher enemies. Use a full set of Light Armor with a combination of Soothing and Quickened pieces for better healing done and better ability cooldowns.

ESO Tanlorin Tank Build
As a half Dragonknight, Tanlorin make a good Tank Companion! They have access to a few nice shields and self heals, that allow them to taunt and hold aggro with ease. Against tougher enemies however, they will need support and heals to survive. Equip a full set of Heavy Armor to boost survivability and defense. Use a combination of Bolstered and Quickened pieces for reduced damage taken and better Ability cooldowns.

Tanlorin shine as a DPS Companion in ESO! They can fulfill the role of Magicka and Stamina DPS with success and are equally good in melee or as ranged fighters.
