Soulframe Wolfpup Training
Wolfpup training is the first step toward getting a Mount in Soulframe! Starting with Preludes 16, you can summon your wolfpup while exploring Alca, interact with it and build a bond that develops its abilities based on how you play.
How Wolfpup Training Works
When you are adventuring in the world of Alca, summon your Wolfpup via the Gear Wheel. You can pet it, play fetch with it and even have it follow you around. As you perform various activities, the pup earns stat points that develop its abilities based on how you play.
So, for example, if you are focusing on combat, your wolfpup will stop being afraid around enemies and eventually turn into a fearsome guardian. Alternatively, if you collect items and open treasure chests a lot, your wolfpup will become a scavenger and will point you toward chests and other items.
Your wolfpup has five stats:
- Guts – increases Stability
- Speed – increases Movement Speed
- Endurance – increases Life
- Curiosity – helps you find rarer items
- Heart – increases your Virtues
Complete activities like votives, dungeon exploration, combat, fishing and more to develop your wolfpup’s stats. The stat points you earn activate auras that make you and your pup stronger as you gain additional points. Spending time with your pup also increases your bond, which progresses through five ranks: Wild, Tame, Trusting, Loving and Soulbound.

How to Get a Wolfpup
To get a wolfpup in Soulframe, you must first complete “The Shewolf Snared” Fable. At the end you can choose one of Orengall’s three pups, Ciar, Cathal or Cuan. Each pup has its own temperament, giving it starting points in specific stats and making it easier to train them for a specific purpose.
- Ciar is Clever and comes with 2 points in Heart and 1 in Curiosity
- Cathal is Loyal and comes with 2 points in Guts and 1 in Endurance
- Cuan is Playful and comes with 2 points in Endurance and 1 in Speed

Wolfpup Energy and Treats
Your wolfpup has limited energy. When its energy depletes it will return to the Nightfold to rest. You can however manage your pup’s energy and training with special treats. There are two types of treats available, Kibble and Biscuit.
Kibble reduces energy consumed during training while Biscuit improves your wolfpup’s ability to learn for a short while. You can use them via the Gear Wheel. You can create the treats with Verminia’s help but you will need special materials that you can only get via Fishing.
Conclusion
Wolfpup Training is an amazing addition to Soulframe that makes your wolfpup an important part of your journey through Alca. By spending time with your pup, training its stats and building your bond, you can develop it into a valuable companion and get one step closer to obtaining a Mount!
