ESO Magicka Arcanist Hybrid Build

Welcome to my Magicka Arcanist Hybrid Build for PVE Gameplay in ESO! The Arcanist is a Class of Eldritch Horror, that relies on Magic Damage and the Crux system to destroy its enemies! The Build can deal massive damage to single targets but also groups of enemies thanks to its powerful abilities and Crux combinations. A flexible Class with strong offensive skills that use your primary resource.

Hydra is a DPS Build that offers various setups, depending on the difficulty of the content you wish to complete in ESO. The Build is designed to use a combination of Arcanist Class skills and Weapon abilities in order to help you clear almost every PVE content. This is a Pure Class Build. For a Subclassing Build, you can take a look at my Magicka Arcanist Subclassing DPS Build! More Arcanist Builds and Guides you can read:

Magicka Arcanist Hybrid Build Setup

A powerful Magicka Arcanist Hybrid Build that relies on its Crux system to enhance your damage and offer additional effects!

Trials Group

The Build is using a traditional rotation with a strong Spammable and not the Arcanist’s Beam! The core Set combo is Arms of Relequen and Aegis Caller. A powerful combination of DPS Sets that can deal massive damage to single targets and groups of enemies. Merciless Charge is an excellent Ability Altering Weapon that boosts your damage more. The Harpooner’s Wading Kilt Mythic Item is an amazing Set for DPS Builds and to maximize its potential we combine it with one Piece of the Slimecraw Monster Set!

If you wish to play with Cephaliarch’s Flail+Fatecarver(Beam) as your main Combo, then you should wear a combination of Sets like Slivers of the Null Arcat, Tide-Born Wildstalker and Velothi Ur-Mage’s Amulet Mythic Item, along with one piece from the Slimecraw Monster Set!

No Trial Gear

The No-Trial Gear setup is meant for easier Solo but also easier Group PVE Gameplay. You can wear this setup if you are planning to play Overland content(Public Dungeons, World Bosses) or clear normal Dungeons. This setup is not strong enough to survive Solo Arenas like the Maelstrom ArenaVateshran Hollows and Infinite Archive. For this purpose you should use a dedicated Solo PVE Arcanist Build. To create a strong No Trial gear Setup all you have to do is replace Arms of Relequen with Order’s Wrath. You can also use a full monster set. Kjalnar’s Nightmare is a great option.

Armor Sets for Magicka Arcanist Hybrid Build

These are the Best Armor Sets you can use with the Build for Solo or Group Gameplay and a few good alternative options.

Skills for Magicka Arcanist Build ESO

The Build is using a combination of Crux generating and consuming abilities to boost your damage and maximize your potential. Writhing Runeblades is your Spammable that deals damage, generates Crux and deals more damage based on your active Crux! To maximize your Damage, debuff enemies with Tentacular Dread to apply Abyssal Ink but also deal damage. Inspired Scholarship generates Crux and deals damage while Fulminating Rune deals more AOE frost Damage!

Another popular combo for the Arcanist DPS Build is the Cephaliarch’s Flail+Fatecarver(Beam). Cephaliarch’s Flail deals AOE damage and generates Crux, that you can then consume with Pragmatic Fatecarver in order to deal massive damage to enemies with your powerful Beam! If you wish to play with this combo you will have to use the appropriate gear, mentioned above. The Arcanist is a powerful DPS Class in ESO with several strong offensive and defensive abilities.

  • Deadly Cloak(Blade Cloak): Strong DPS skill.
  • Writhing Runeblades(Runeblades): Spammable that generates Crux.
  • Tentacular Dread(Abyssal Impact): Consumes Crux and debuffs enemies with Abyssal Ink.
  • Barbed Trap(Trap Beast): Very good DOT damage and a boost to Critical Damage.
  • Inspired Scholarship(Tome-Bearer’s Inspiration): Deals damage and buffs you.
  • Flawless Dawnbreaker(Dawnbreaker): Deals damage but also buffs you actively and passively.
  • Stampede(Critical Charge): Powerful AOE damage skill.
  • Carve(Cleave): Great Bleed damage skill that applies a shield.
  • Fulminating Rune(The Imperfect Ring): Strong DoT ability that also provides a synergy.
  • Runeguard of Freedom(Runic Defense): Defensive skill that also heals you.
  • Spell Symmetry(Equilibrium): Heals and restores Magicka.
  • The Tide King’s Gaze(The Unblinking Eye): Powerful Ultimate.

Rotation

This is a dynamic rotation, that generates Crux in order to boost your damage with your powerful spammable! Buff yourself with Inspired Scholarship, Runeguard of Freedom, cast Deadly Cloak and place Barbed Trap. Attack with Stampede, Carve x3, Fulminating Rune. Switch bars, apply Abyssal Ink with Tentacular Dread and deal damage with Writhing Runeblades as your spammable. Keep attacking with Writhing Runeblades and re cast the other abilities when necessary. Restore resources with Spell Symmetry and use your Ultimate when ready!

If you are playing with the Cephaliarch’s Flail+Fatecarver(Beam) combo, then your goal is to deal damage and generate Crux with Cephaliarch’s Flail, then when at maximum(three Crux) consume it with Fatecarver to deal massive damage! Keep repeating this action and re cast the other abilities when necessary.
