Welcome to my One Bar Magicka Arcanist DPS Build for ESO! The Arcanist is a Class of Eldritch Horror, that relies on Magic Damage and the Crux system to destroy its enemies! This is a Subclassing Build that is using the Oakensoul Ring Mythic Item to boost its damage and capabilities! The Build combines strong Arcanist, Nightblade, Templar abilities and offers a Light Attack Weaving Setup as well as a pure Heavy Attack Setup! More Arcanist Builds and Guides you can read:
Skills for One Bar Magicka Arcanist – Nightblade – Templar Heavy Attack Setup
This Subclassing Build is using the following Skill Lines:
- Herald of the Tome
- Aedric Spear
- Assassination
- Cephaliarch’s Flail(Abyssal Impact): Strong Arcanist Skill.
- Relentless Focus(Grim Focus): Turns into a deadly Spectral Arrow after five light/heavy attacks that also heals.
- Pragmatic Fatecarver(Fatecarver): Powerful beam! Consumes Crux to deal more damage. You can use the Exhausting Fatecarver Morph if you wish.
- Unstable Wall of Elements(Wall of Elements): Great AOE damage skill.
- Blazing Spear(Spear Shards): AOE damage skill.
- Incapacitating Strike(Death Stroke): Primary Ultimate.
Rotation
Attack with Unstable Wall of Elements, Blazing Spear, Cephaliarch’s Flail. Fire Spectral Arrow if it is ready(always fire it when it is ready). Generate Crux with Cephaliarch’s Flail and when you are at maximum(3 Crux), use Pragmatic Fatecarver to deal massive damage! Keep attacking with Cephaliarch’s Flail to generate Crux, Fatecarver to consume it, refresh the other abilities when necessary and assist with Heavy Attacks. Use your Ultimate when ready.
Skills for One Bar Magicka Arcanist – Nightblade – Templar Light Attack Setup
This Subclassing Build is using the following Skill Lines:
- Herald of the Tome
- Aedric Spear
- Assassination
- Writhing Runeblades(Runeblades): Spammable that generates Crux.
- Relentless Focus(Grim Focus): Turns into a deadly Spectral Arrow after five light/heavy attacks that also heals.
- Pragmatic Fatecarver(Fatecarver): Powerful beam! Consumes Crux to deal more damage. You can use the Exhausting Fatecarver Morph if you wish.
- Impale(Assassin’s Blade): Execute ability. Start using this skill once the enemy’s health drops below 25%-30%.
- Blazing Spear(Spear Shards): AOE damage skill.
- Incapacitating Strike(Death Stroke): Primary Ultimate.
Rotation
Attack with Blazing Spear, Writhing Runeblades as your spammable. Fire Spectral Arrow if it is ready(always fire it when it is ready). Generate Crux with Writhing Runeblades and when you are at maximum(3 Crux), use Pragmatic Fatecarver to deal massive damage! When the enemy’s Health is below 25%-30% start using Impale as your spammable. Use your Ultimate when ready and always Light Attack before every skill to boost your damage!

Below you will find the best Champion Points setup for the Build. When allocating Champion points to Slottable and Passive Stars your primary goal is to create paths! Allocate the minimum required points to stars along your path in order to reach your desired Slottable Stars faster. Once you have unlocked all Stars, start allocating more Champion Points to them to fill them out. Focus on Slottable Stars first, then Passive Stars. Race
The Best Race for the One Bar Magicka Arcanist DPS Build in ESO is High Elf. Dark Elf, Khajiit and Breton are nice alternative Races you can use for a DPS focused Build. Any Race with Magicka bonuses can work well though. You can find more about the playable races in my ESO Race Guide!
Vampire or Werewolf
Neither is necessary.
