What is the Best Beginner Class in Baldur’s Gate 3?
The Best Beginner Class in BG3 is the Fighter! A simple class to play with powerful actions and straightforward gameplay. The Fighter is the least complex Class you can pick in bg3 if you are new to the genre. A melee Class that does not rely on complex spells or cantrips to defeat enemies, which makes it an excellent option for your first game.
Other good beginner classes in bg3 are the Barbarian and the Cleric! The Barbarian is also a melee class with simple gameplay that does not rely on complex spells to deal damage. The Cleric may be a spellcaster but is a relatively easy one that can focus on healing and support spells to assist your group. Which actually makes the Cleric a good introduction to spellcasters in Baldur’s Gate 3! So the Top 3 Best Classes for Beginners in BG3 are:
- Fighter
- Barbarian
- Cleric

What is the Best Class in Baldur’s Gate 3?
The Best Class in Baldur’s Gate 3 is the Paladin! A powerful melee, Spellcaster hybrid Class that can attack and defeat enemies with spells and weapons. The Paladin is versatile and powerful but also quite complex to play because of the tenents you have to follow for your chosen Oath. Unless you wish to go with an Oathbreaker Sub Class and wreck havoc in the game!
How Multiclassing Works in BG3?
Baldur’s Gate 3 offers the option to multiclass your character! Multiclassing in BG3 allows you to combine Classes and create a unique hybrid. Although this is not necessary to do since the main classes of the game and their sub classes are powerful enough, it does offer the ability to create a truly unique play style by combining attacks, spells and cantrips from different classes. When you reach level 2 with your character you can unlock their Class features for the next level or choose to add another Class! This action adds the features of another Class to your character creating a hybrid of different Classes.
The maximum level of a character in BG3 is 12 which means that you can level up one Class to level 12 or get some levels for two different classes if you are multiclassing. Level 10 for your main Class and level 2 for your secondary Class for example. Multiclassing can offer several benefits to your character but the classes you pick must make a good match. Which basically means to have the same primary ability! Picking Classes that share the same primary ability for your Multiclass character can have great benefits and create a fun play style! A few examples of Classes that combine well together are strength Fighter and Barbarian, Dexterity Rogue and Ranger, Charisma Sorcerer and Warlock.
