ESO Update 45

Update 45 brings a few new interesting features and systems in ESO, along with reworks to existing systems. This update introduces new Dungeons, Houses, Armor Sets and Base Game improvements that will make life easier for every player in The Elder Scrolls Online.

New Dungeons

Lep Seclusa and Exiled Redoubt are the two new Dungeons that Update 45 adds to ESO! Lep Seclusa is a linear Dungeon with a few interesting Boss encounters. There are no secrets to discover inside this new Dungeon. Exiled Redoubt on the other hand offers the familiar by now split of Main and secret Bosses. The secret Bosses are easy to find and offer buffs that will help you complete the Dungeon faster. Both Dungeons unlock new achievements and Armor Sets for players.

New Armor Sets

There are eleven(11) New Armor Sets in Update 45. Four(4) from each Dungeon and three(3) as Rewards for the Worthy! The New Sets are:

New Houses

New Houses in ESO Update 45

ESO Housing enthusiasts rejoice! Two new Houses are coming to ESO with the new Update, Shattered Mirror Isle and Castle Skingrad! You can find Shattered Mirror Isle in Fargrave City in Deadlands zone and Castle Skingrad in the West Weald zone!

ESO Map Rework

The map is getting a rework. It will only show one Wayshrine per zone by default now, so it is easier to travel wherever you want. You can however change what you see on the map by adjusting the appropriate filters.

Mount Speed Increase

The base Mount Speed is increased before you unlock Gallop, to make it easier for new player to travel faster to their destination. The expected changes are:

  • Sprinting on a brand new mount: +19%
  • Sprinting on a trained mount: +13%
  • Sprinting on a brand new mount with Gallop: +5%
  • Sprinting on a trained mount with Gallop: No Change
  • Sprinting on a trained mount with Gallop and Gifted Rider: +1%

Starter Zones Refresh

The Starter zones of Betnikh, Stros M’Kai, Bleakrock Isle, Bal Foyen and Khenarthi’s Roost are getting a visual rework! This will bring them on par with newest zones and makes it more enjoyable to visit them.

Craft Champion Points Star Tree Improvements

Several Champion Points Stars in the Craft(green) Tree have changed. There is no need to slot them anymore in order to get their benefits. These stars are:

  • Meticulous Disassembly
  • Plentiful Harvest
  • Treasure Hunter
  • Rationer
  • Liquid Efficiency
  • Homemaker
  • Professional Upkeep
  • Infamous
  • Cutpurse’s Art

Crime Wave Event

The Crime Wave is a mini Event that is coming to ESO after Update 45! The Event rewards stealing in ESO with more Gold and unique items. You cannot earn Event Tickets from this Event though. Using a dedicated Thief Build is going to make your life easier and help you enjoy this mini event more.

Reaper Strikes

Reaper Strikes are Worm Cult themed Overland encounters, that replace Dark Fissures throughout the base game! Completing those encounters, allows you to buy a unique furnishing and unlock a new Skill Style!

These are the major changes and additions coming to ESO with Update 45 but there are a lot more smaller features as well, like Increased Mundus visibility on Character and Inventory UI screens, Player Response Options, first stages of Console Add-on Support and more!
