Hybrid Necromancer DPS

Hela is a Magicka based Hybrid Necromancer DPS PVE Build for ESO! The Build is using strong melee attacks, Elemental Damage and Minions to defeat enemies and clear almost every content in The Elder Scrolls Online! Below you can find different setups depending on the type of content you wish to complete, the difficulty and the gear you wish to wear! Hela relies a lot on its minions to deal damage and heal, combined with Weapon abilities and other utility spells!

Hybrid Necromancer DPS Build Setup

The Build offers different setups, depending on the difficulty of the content you wish to complete but also the gear you wish to wear! Below you can find setups for Trials Group DPS, a No Trial Gear Setup and a Beginner Setup(c160).

Trials Group DPS

This setup is for dedicated group gameplay, is using Trial gear and it aims to achieve the best damage possible. You can also use Berserking Warrior or (Perfected)Coral Riptide as alternative sets.

Beginner Setup

There are various sets you can use as a beginner. Armor Sets that can help you understand the play-style while boosting your Stamina and Magicka offensive capabilities. Some of these sets are:

Stormfist, Selene, Ilambris as full Monster Sets. A combination of Hunding’s Rage, Law of Julianos, Night mother’s Gaze, Morkuldin or Armor of the Seducer can work well.

  • Deadly Cloak(Blade Cloak): Strong DPS Skill.
  • Ricochet Skull(Flame Skull): Our main skill & spammable.
  • Skeletal Arcanist(Skeletal Mage): Our undead minion that assists with shock attacks. Also creates a corpse on death.
  • Stalking Blastbones(Blastbones): Great offensive skill that also creates a corpse.
  • Mystic Siphon(Shocking Siphon): Deals good shock damage but also restores Magicka. Essential skill for our DPS and sustain that passively increases our damage when slotted.
  • Glacial Colossus(Frozen Colossus): Our strong Ultimate.
  • Stampede(Critical Charge): Powerful AOE damage skill.
  • Carve(Cleave): Great Bleed damage skill that applies a shield.
  • Barbed Trap(Trap Beast): Additional DOT damage but we are mainly using it for the boost to Critical Damage.
  • Spirit Guardian(Spirit Mender): Healing ability that also boosts defense.
  • Spell Symmetry(Equilibrium): Restores Magicka at the cost of Health.

The Thief to boost Critical Chance.

What Race is best for Hybrid Necromancer DPS Build

High Elf – Dark Elf – Khajiit – Breton is the best Race for a DPS focused Build. Any Race with Magicka bonuses can work well though. You can find more about the playable races in my ESO Race Guide!

Vampire or Werewolf

Neither is necessary.

Rotation for Hybrid Necromancer DPS Build

Drink a potion, set your Barbed Trap, summon Spirit Guardian(solo), attack with Stampede, Carve x2 and switch bars. Continue with Stalking Blastbones, Skeletal Arcanist, Deadly Cloak, Stalking Blastbones, Mystic Siphon, Ricochet Skull, Stalking Blastbones, Ricochet Skull x2, Stalking Blastbones, Ricochet Skull x2, Stalking Blastbones, switch bars.

Stampede, Carve, Barbed Trap, switch bars and continue. When you are in front bar, use Stalking Blastbones after every two skills. Use Glacial Colossus when ready and reapply Spirit Guardian when necessary. Always Light Attack before every skill/action to boost damage.
