Season Zero – ESO Roadmap 2026

Season Zero is the first Season for ESO with this new System. The Season launches on April 2nd and introduces a variety of new systems to the Game:

  • Night Market Group Event Zone
  • Tamriel Tomes Battle Pass System
  • The Gold Coast Bazaar
  • PVP Progression System
  • New Overland Difficulty Options
  • Balance and Visual Updates for the Dragonknight Class, Two Handed Weapons and Werewolf

The Night Market is the first Group Event Zone for ESO! A limited time, PVE based Event that takes place in Fargrave and is aimed toward experienced Players and Groups. Players can align with one of the three Fargrave Factions and compete against each other for unique rewards. These rewards also include a House with an inside Banker that you can further upgrade! The Event begins on April 29th and will last until mid-June. There are plans to return it again later in the future and even make it a permanent ESO addition if players like it.

Tamriel Tomes is the new Battle Pass System of ESO! This system will have three Tiers, one Free available to every player and two Premium. A Premium at 14.99$ and a Premium Plus at 29.99$. The Battle Pass progresses by completing Weekly and Seasonal Challenges(there are no Daily Challenges) and will replace the Endeavors System, as well as the Daily Login Rewards! The functionality of both Endeavors and Daily Login Rewards will transfer to the free Tamriel Tomes Tier and turn the Battle Pass as your most important Daily Routine in ESO!

By completing a variety of Challenges you earn Tome Points, that you can use to unlock Pages in the Tome and choose your rewards. You even have the chance to reroll challenges, so you get activities that you enjoy doing. Tome Rewards include several items, like Seals of Endeavor, Armor, Skill Styles, the new Currency Trade Bars, furnishings, Crown Crates, Weapon Styles and more.

The Gold Coast Bazaar is a new in-game storefront that also makes its debut with Season Zero. The Bazaar allows players to unlock rewards by playing the game and is also a way to acquire older items. To purchase items from the Bazaar you will need the new Trade Bars Currency, which you can mainly get from the Tamriel Tomes Battle Pass.

The Trade Bars currency is going to replace Event Tickets. Event Tickets will be removed from the game with this new storefront. Every player will receive an amount of Trade Bars for their remaining Event Tickets. Unlike Event Tickets, Trade Bars have no Cap and cannot be bought with Crowns.

Season Zero will also introduce a few new additions to ESO, like a PVP Progression System, the Beginning of the Class Rework with the Dragonknight Class, a visual refresh for Two Handed Weapons, new Werewolf Visuals with the addition of a Female model.

The much-anticipated Challenge Difficulty(Overland Difficulty) will also make its debut with Season Zero! Players can pick from three Difficulty Options that will offer extra XP and Gold as rewards.

The Season One will begin in Summer and will introduce the following new systems:

The Sage’s Vault is a puzzle focused area that you can clear alone or with your friends. Find special keys to access the vault and uncover its secrets. Dynamic World Events can pop randomly and will scale based on the number of players present. Each event will have different goals.

Favors is a new type of Daily Quests that revolves around certain NPC and Guilds. Rumors are Scavenger Hunts hidden around the world that do not offer a UI to help you complete them!

The High Seas of Tamriel is another brand new event that revolves around Naval Combat, Undersea Exploration, puzzles and in general Oceanic Encounters. Crimson Veldt is the first base game Trial in quite a while that will also introduce Hard Mode Basepop.

Their rewards will be different than their normal 4-man equivalent Dungeons.

At the end of the year Dynamic Storms will appear in Tamriel. These storms will lead players to a new Excursion Zone in Skyrim! This is a new type of Zone, where players will have to complete tasks and quests before they can unlock new areas.
