There are several ways to earn Gold in ESO. Some are easier and faster than others but all the ways below will help you make a small fortune!

1. Farm Valuable Overland Sets for Gold – ESO How to Make Gold

Farming Overland Sets to make Gold, is the Best way to earn this valuable currency by simply playing the game! Before you begin, some preparation is needed though. Visit Guild Traders to see which items sell better. Identify the most valuable items and set out to farm them.

These items are not always the same and they change depending on the current meta. Each Set and Item drops in a specific zone in the game. Travel to the appropriate zone and start clearing content to drop pieces from the set you are after. For example, clearing Dolmens and other World Events will reward you with Jewelry, while killing World Bosses is good for farming weapons. Overland Set pieces drop from these sources:

• Delve Bosses have a chance to drop a waist or feet piece.
• World Bosses will always drop a Head, Chest, Legs or Weapon Piece.
• Public Dungeon Bosses have a chance to drop a Shoulders, Hand or Weapon piece.
• Dolmen Chests will always drop a Ring or Necklace.
• Treasure Chests and Psijic Portals have a chance to drop any piece.

You can sell the items in the quality they drop or you can upgrade them for a better price. Always upgrade an item if you have spare materials(or can afford the cost) and the appropriate skill.

2. Farming Chests for Gold

Similar method to the previous one but this time you are running around opening chests instead of killing enemies or clearing content. In areas without Dark Anchors or other World Events(Wrothgar or Murkmire for example), this is the only way to get valuable jewelry. There are several Addons that can help you locate chests faster. To be truly effective you should also unlock the Treasure Hunter and Fortune’s Favor Champion Points Skills. 3. Crafting

Crafting is a very lucrative way of making money but not that good for new players. This is a more advanced way of earning gold in ESO. It requires patience and time to advance the appropriate skills. When you do get the right skills though you can make a lot of money with this method.

There are several Crafted Sets that can earn you good Gold, like Order’s Wrath, Tide-Born Wildstalker and more. Potions you can make with Alchemy are also quite valuable! Furnishing Crafting can also be valuable as long as you can afford the materials cost!

4. Daily Writs

Completing your Daily Writs with Multiple Characters every day, will earn you a nice amount of Gold! This is the easiest way to earn Gold in ESO but is also the most mundane one. Just log every character and complete Daily Writs. The gold you earn like this is not much but it piles up. Especially if you do this every day with ten plus characters. You also get crafting materials, surveys and other items like this, that you can sell for some extra gold! Daily Writs is a big part of your Daily Routine in ESO.

5. Convert Other Currencies to Gold in ESO

You can farm Tel Var, AP(Alliance Points), Writ Vouchers, Archival Fortunes and convert them to Gold! Farm your preferred currency and use it to buy items from specific NPC! Sell later the items for Gold to Make profit!

Convert Writ Vouchers to Gold in ESO

An advanced way to make gold in ESO. Complete Master Writs to earn Writ Vouchers. When you have enough vouchers, you can buy items and Recipes or Blueprints to sell for gold. It is even possible to buy and learn a Recipe or a Blueprint in order to craft and sell the product multiple times. This method requires good Crafting skills to work and will take time before you can utilize it.

Convert AP to Gold – Best Ways to Make Gold in ESO

A great method to make gold for players that enjoy PVP. By participating in PVP activities and in general by questing in PVP areas you earn AP – Alliance Points. You can use your AP to buy items that you can sell later for gold. You will need a good PVP Build to survive there. There are three ways to achieve this.

• First you can buy items from “The Golden“. A special NPC merchant that appears in Cyrodiil every Weekend or in special occasions, selling valuable items. Some of those items can be sold for gold and will help you earn a small fortune.
• In Cyrodiil the three towns of Vlastarus, Bruma and Cropsford have Elite Vendors(Specialized Gear Vendors). You can buy Set pieces from them to sell later for gold.
• Finally Battlegrounds have their own vendors that can sell you valuable motifs and items for AP.

Convert Tel Var to Gold

Another decent way to make gold for players that enjoy PVP. Farm Tel Var from activities in the Imperial City(PvPvE zone) and use it to buy items from vendors in your Alliance Base, in the Imperial City. Hakeijo Rune and the Alchemy Materials you get from Waxed Apothecary’s Parcels are great items to get and sell for Gold! Convert Archival Fortune to Gold in ESO

Archival Fortune is the special currency you can earn by clearing Stages, Cycles and Arcs inside the Infinite Archive! With this currency you can buy a variety of upgrades, Class Sets and other items from the vendors of the Archive. You can also buy containers with crafting materials that you can later sell for Gold to other players! Use your Archival Fortune to buy:

• Archival Alchemical Sachet – Alchemy materials
• Archival Jewelrycrafting Pouch – Jewelry Crafting materials
• Archival Sack of Provisions – Provisioning materials

Harvesting Materials is a fast and relaxed way to earn gold in ESO. It is also a great way for new players to start earning money. All you have to do is visit a zone rich in materials and start harvesting them. All crafting materials will earn you a profit but Alchemy materials are the most valuable and easy to get.

To be effective when following this method you will want to unlock the Master Gatherer and Plentiful Harvest Champion Points skills. To harvest materials of higher value, you will have to invest some skill-points in crafting skills. Craglorn is a great Base game zone to collect materials in ESO because of the chance to drop Nirncrux materials! If you do not care about Nirncrux though, small starter zones like Betnikh are the best thanks to their resources density.

7. How to Make Gold with Stealing

Stealing in ESO is not only fun to do but also one of the best ways to find valuable Motifs and Blueprints. Your real profit from stealing comes from the stolen items you fence but also from the items you launder and sell later for gold. Sell only the most valuable items to a Fence for a better profit.

Visiting newer zones is better to make Gold. To be truly effective you will have to invest time and advance a few skill lines, like Thieves Guild, Legerdemain and Vampire. The use of a dedicated Thief Build will help you make a lot more gold from stealing.

8. Flip the Market – ESO How to Make Gold

Buy Low, Sell High! No need to farm anything for this method. Just buy items and sell them at a higher price! Having an initial Capital and a good understanding of the market is necessary for success. Check Guild Traders in different towns, find items selling cheap, buy and resell them for a better price! Getting assistance from Market Addons like TTC(Tamriel Trade Centre) can be helpful.

9. Kill enemies for Gold

No need to farm items and sell them with this method. You just earn Gold while earning Experience! A great way to use if you also wish to level up your character. Find areas with groups of Humanoid enemies(Humans, Elves etc) and farm them for Gold! Humanoid enemies carry more Gold on them(have more pockets!) so it is better to focus on that type. 10. How to Make Gold with Fishing

Fishing is another way to earn gold in ESO. This method requires patience and luck. Gold from fishing comes mainly from Perfect Roe, a provisioning material, that you get if you are lucky after filleting the fish you have caught. Perfect Roe is rather rare so follow this method only if you want to relax or are after some fishing achievements.

11. Making Gold with Antiquities in ESO

More of a starter way to make gold in ESO. Antiquities can give you a nice gold boost but is not a reliable way to earn gold long-term. Your main profit with this method comes from selling the Treasures you excavate to NPC for gold. More specifically the Purple treasure you can find in every zone in-game. You can only find this type of treasure once per account in every zone.

How to Sell Items

You can earn Gold from the items you are farming by selling them directly to another player or by using a Guild Trader! Guild Traders are special NPC that Trading Guilds use to post and sell their items. There are Traders in every town in ESO but some locations are simply better. Some of the best locations, that will yield better profit include the towns of Belkarth, Mournhold, Vivec City and Rawl’kha.

Trading Guilds are player run guilds you can join to gain access to their Trader. You can be part of up to five Guilds in the game and one or all of them can be Trading Guilds. Specific addons like Master Merchant and Tamriel Trade Centre can also help you make gold easier. These addons will inform you of the price range for every item, the profit you can make and help you find good deals.

Joining a Trading Guild to use their Trader usually requires you to pay fees and have other conditions. Selling directly to other players does not has any fees but is more time consuming, since you need to advertise your wares from zone to zone.
