The 10 Best Weapons you can carry in Starfield and Where you can find them! Starfield offers a quite enjoyable gun play with several types of Weapons to choose from. Normal but also special, unique Weapons will help you eliminate any threat silently or with a big bang if you prefer! All weapons in Starfield are available to use as soon as you find them. However by investing skill points to the right skill and equipping Weapon Mods, you can make them deadlier. This guide will show you the Best Weapons in Starfield and where to find them. This guide contains spoilers for the game’s main and Faction quest-lines!

Best Weapons in Starfield and Where to Find them

Some weapons in the game are simply superior than everything else available. Most of them are Unique Weapons, special variations of normal Weapon types in the game. While normal weapons are relatively easy to find while exploring places and looting fallen enemies, unique weapons are only available by completing specific tasks or visiting certain areas. These are the Best Weapons in Starfield!

1. Eternity’s Gate

Eternity’s Gate is a powerful Particle Beam Rifle that you can get by advancing the main quest-line of Starfield! One of the best Weapons in the game that you will get as a potential reward when you complete the “Revelation” mission in Starfield! To get this weapon you will have to side with the Hunter or neither the Hunter nor the Emissary during the “Unearthed” main mission. An amazing Rifle, based on the Va’Ruun Inflictor base model, that comes with three Perks and six Weapon Mods equipped! You can make it even deadlier by ranking up the Particle Beams and Rifle Certification Combat skills.

2. Revenant

Another powerful Unique Rifle and one of the best option if you prefer Ballistic Weapons! The Revenant is a unique Rifle, a special version of the Magshear Ballistic Rifle, that you can get while completing the “Eye of the Storm” Crimson Fleet Mission. You can find the Revenant in the Vault Control Center, inside “The Legacy” ship, in the Bannoc System! The rifle is placed next to the terminals, near the body of its former owner! Do not forget to loot it, because that is your only chance to acquire this amazing weapon! The Revenant comes with three Perks and four Weapon Mods equipped. By ranking up the Ballistics and Rifle Certification Skills, you can boost its damage.

3. Big Bang

The King of Shotguns! Big Bang is a Particle Beam Shotgun that can simply destroy everything in front of it. You can get Big Bang by defeating higher levels enemies or by searching weapon caches in higher level systems. You can even buy it from stores in Starfield after you advance your level enough(25-30 level). A powerful Shotgun that you can make stronger by ranking up the Shotgun Certification and Particle Beams Skills.

4. Magsniper

A normal Weapon version that is however the best Sniper Rifle in Starfield! You can loot Magsniper from high level enemies or find it while searching weapon cache in high level systems! It will even appear in vendors but only after you have advanced your level enough(around level 40). Boost its damage by advancing the Rifle Certification, Ballistics, Marksmanship and Sniper Certification Skills.

5. Experiment A-7

A Unique version of the Breach Shotgun, that is very easy to miss! You can only get the Experiment A-7 shotgun during the Entagled Mission! Before you begin your descent in the facility, you can talk to Ethan Hughes and try to persuade him to give you something to fight off hostiles. If you are successful, he will give you the Experiment A-7 Rare Shotgun! A powerful Shotgun that comes with a Perk and eight Weapon Mods equipped! Rank up the Shotgun Certification and Ballistics Skills to boost its damage.

6. Keelhauler

Another unique weapon you can get by advancing the Crimson Fleet Faction quest-line! The Keelhauler is a Legendary Pistol that you get as a reward when you complete the “Echoes of the Past“ Crimson Fleet mission. A powerful weapon, based on the Magshot base Pistol, that comes with three Perks and six Weapon Mods equipped! To boost its damage rank up the Ballistics and Pistol Certification Skills.

7. Unmitigated Violence

A Unique weapon based on the Orion Laser Rifle, that you can get by completing the “Revelation” mission in Starfield! To get this weapon you will have to side with the Emissary or neither the Hunter nor the Emissary during the “Unearthed” main mission. Unmitigated Violence comes with three Perks and seven Weapon Mods equipped! You can make it stronger by ranking up the Lasers and Rifle Certification Combat skills.

8. X-989 Microgun

X-989 Microgun is a special version of the Microgun Heavy Weapon. A powerful Weapon with high Rate of Fire that can shred even the toughest enemies! To boost its damage, rank up the Ballistics and Heavy Weapon Certification Skills. To obtain it you need to advance the Vanguard quest line, up to the “Hostile Intelligence” mission! After a short briefing from Commander Hatoum, you will be given the optional task to visit the armory and grab new gear. Go to the Armory, grab the Sentinel Antixeno Spacesuit and talk to the United Colonies Agent. He will then hand you the X-989 Microgun! The Weapon comes with two Perks and three Weapon Mods equipped.

9. Va’Ruun Starshard

Another Particle Beam Weapon in the list! The Va’Ruun Starshard is a Particle Beam Pistol that you can get as loot from higher level enemies or by searching weapon caches in higher level systems. You can even buy it from stores in Starfield after you advance your level enough(25-30 level). To boost its damage rank up the Particle Beams and Pistol Certification Skills.

10. Va’Ruun Painblade

The strongest melee weapon in Starfield! The Va’Ruun Painblade is a unique Weapon that you can get as loot from higher level enemies or by searching weapon caches in higher level systems. You can also buy it from Zuri’s Essentials shop in the Crimson Fleet base, “The Key“. The Key is the base of operations for the Crimson Fleet Pirate faction in Starfield, so the easiest way to access it, is by joining them.
